Description

Finncomm Airlines was the largest domestic carrier in Finland by number of flights. It was founded in 1993 and operated from its Helsinki base to destinations within Finland and around Europe with ERJ-145 and ATR aircraft. On July 1st 2011 Finnair and Flybe bought the company and created Flybe Nordic.

Golden Air also started operations in 1993 and flew the Saab 340 and Saab 2000. In 2012 Golden Air was acquired by Braathens.

Both airlines have now been gone for a number of years however thanks to a visit to Helsinki in 2004 Just Planes was able to film both for the history books.  The 2 hour Cockpit Film includes 15 flights on the ERJ-145, Saab 340 and Saab 2000 to 8 destinations from Helsinki.
