Just Planes is really happy to return to the great Swiss carrier Edelweiss. The airline is in a big expansion mode and as its taking over 6 A340s from Swiss it expands all over the world, one such routes is Cape Town. As our previous films with Edelweiss cover North America and Asia we decided to add Africa and you won't regret the choice. The departure alone makes this entire adventure worthwhile! We wish to thank the Cape Town Air Traffic Control for allowing our crew to perform this visual scenic flight around Table Mountain with their own headings... pretty incredible! This experienced Kaptain, whom you will see in this video, on August 4, 2018 at 4.50 pm local time was involved in a deadly accident flying the JU 52 into Piz Segnas Mountain in Switzerland. All 17 passengers and 3 crew members died in this tragic accident. My condolence to the families and friends.
